HOW TO READ

Help on creating a reading plan

“Today a reader,
  tomorrow a leader.”
 – Margaret Fuller

Right now, only 34 percent of all fourth graders in South Carolina read at grade level.* Too many South Carolina children go through their days without fully understanding materials to advance in school and ultimately succeed in the workforce.
Because 3rd grade is when children make the shift from learning to read to reading to learn, it is more important than ever to get our children on the right track to reading proficiency. Frequent readers are shown to become better readers.
